For the past decade, Meksea has proudly maintained its position as a Platinum Sponsor at Vietfish. Occupying a prime location, the exhibition serves as a strategic bridge, allowing Meksea to strongly assert its international brand. Join Mr. Hoang Van Duy, Director of Meksea, as he shares insights on the outstanding efficiency and vast opportunities Vietfish delivers.

MEKSEA HAS CONSISTENTLY MAINTAINED ITS POSITION AS A PLATINUM SPONSOR OF VIETFISH FOR THE PAST NINE YEARS.

INTERVIEWER: Meksea has maintained its position as a platinum sponsor of Vietfish for many consecutive years. What is the key driving force behind the company’s decision to sustain this long-term partnership with the exhibition?

From the very beginning and throughout its development journey, Meksea has assigned itself a long-term responsibility toward Vietnam’s seafood community: to successfully spread a positive and dignified image of Vietnamese seafood to friends around the world.

To fulfill this mission, there is no better approach than laying the very first bricks to build a comprehensive connection system linking the best raw material regions across Vietnam for each seafood species, together with manufacturing partners who possess both HEART and CAPABILITY, located right at the core of these raw material zones. This enables us to meet export orders that comply with the most stringent international standards.

Once Meksea assumed the role of a representative for the best raw material regions, for manufacturing partners with both HEART and CAPABILITY, and for the honest and hardworking farmers and fishermen, we needed a platform that is truly prestigious and has the greatest ability to amplify the positive image of Vietnamese seafood to the global market. To meet these criteria, there is no better choice than maintaining the platinum sponsor position at the Vietfish International Seafood Exhibition over the years.

Beyond being a main sponsor, Meksea’s booth is renewed each year with different themes, aiming to honor and promote Vietnamese cultural identity in particular, as well as the nation’s aquaculture and fishing heritage that has been passed down through generations, to international friends whenever they attend Vietfish.

Over the years, the main sponsor area at Vietfish has also become a familiar “home” for all of Meksea’s supplier partners - a place where Meksea and its partners reunite after busy periods of business, reconnect, share stories, strengthen bonds, and continue entrusting one another with new missions: “You focus on producing better, and I will do my best to sell more.” At times, it is simply a resting stop for Meksea’s friends after touring the exhibition.

INTERVIEWER: How do you evaluate the development of the Vietfish exhibition over the years?

Since its establishment in 1999 and through more than 25 years of formation and continuous development, Vietfish today has become one of Asia’s leading specialized international seafood exhibitions. It represents a country that ranks third in the world in seafood exports (after China and Norway), notably ranking first globally in pangasius and second worldwide in shrimp.

In recent years in particular, Vietfish has not only focused on its role as a trade-connecting platform, enhancing the quality of participation by both domestic and international exhibitors, increasing visitor numbers, and expanding the scale of the exhibition to create more opportunities for businesses to showcase products and services supporting the seafood industry. Vietfishhas also proactively updated, kept pace with, and even pioneered the exploration, introduction, and application of the latest global development trends within Vietnam’s seafood sector. These efforts include orientations toward sustainable seafood development; promoting and enhancing the value of Vietnamese seafood; spreading the message of Vietnam as a country committed to responsible seafood harvesting and aquaculture; and strengthening the development and consumption of the domestic market.

I believe Vietfish is performing exceptionally well and is making a significant contribution to the mission of firmly positioning Vietnam as one of the world’s leading seafood suppliers, while continuing to reach new milestones in the years ahead.

INTERVIEWER: Which product lines will be Meksea’s “key highlights” in showcasing its comprehensive seafood ecosystem at this exhibition?

With a solid position built over nearly two decades as a sales representative for some of the most reliable seafood manufacturers in Vietnam, Meksea’s greatest strength lies in its ability to fulfill large-volume orders across a wide and diverse range of product categories, with strictly controlled quality and a highly competitive sales policy.

At this exhibition, we focus on four core product groups that have shaped Meksea’s brand in particular and Vietnamese seafood in general:

1. Fresh seafood products:

Pangasius, black tiger shrimp, whiteleg shrimp, lobster, tuna, freshwater fish, small pelagic fish, large marine fish, clams, squid, octopus, and surimi.

2. Value-added products:

Breaded shrimp, pangasius, and squid products; seasoned seafood; potato-wrapped rolls; shrimp and crab dumplings, and other processed items.

3. Canned products:

Canned tuna, canned small pelagic fish, and canned/packed seafood in cans, pouches, and trays.

4. Dried seafood products:

Dried squid, dried shrimp, fish maw, and other dried seafood items.

INTERVIEWER: As a leading enterprise in the industry, what role does Meksea play in building the “comprehensive seafood ecosystem” that Vietfish 2026 is aiming toward?

The most practical and consistent contribution that Meksea has made and continues to make over nearly 20 years is promoting a professional and positive image of Vietnamese seafood in the global market. At the same time, Meksea connects thousands of leading seafood importers from more than 90 countries and territories to source products directly from Vietnam.

Each year, through participation in approximately ten of the world’s largest international seafood exhibitions such as the Global Seafood Expo (SEG), the Seafood Expo North America (SENA), the China Fisheries & Seafood Expo (CFSE), Vietfish, Thaifex, Anuga, and others. We work tirelessly to bring our best products and services directly to global importers, promoting an image of Vietnam as a friendly, reliable country offering world-class seafood products.

Meksea maintains strategic partnerships with more than one hundred seafood factories and processing facilities across Vietnam, placing production orders for export to over 90 international markets, many of which are long-term contracts. Through Meksea, these factories gain greater opportunities to expand their export markets, accumulate experience in entering new destinations, maintain stable long-term production, and create more employment opportunities for workers.

With extensive experience working with major international importers such as supermarket chains and large distribution groups, partners that are highly sensitive to and constantly updated on global consumer trends - Meksea actively promotes and pioneers the introduction of certified sustainable seafood products (ASC, MSC, BAP), responsibly farmed and processed products with clear traceability, deeply processed and private-label products under the Meksea brand, as well as convenient seafood products tailored to the consumption preferences of Generation Z.

INTERVIEWER: What makes Meksea most proud to appear as a Platinum Sponsor at Vietfish 2026?

We do not view the Platinum Sponsor position at Vietfish each year as a source of pride, but rather as a responsibility. Meksea represents a collective of more than one hundred seafood factories and production facilities across Vietnam and serves as a bridge connecting over 1,000 customers worldwide. Therefore, we must fulfill our role to the highest standard to be worthy of the position of main sponsor of the Vietfish exhibition, a responsibility entrusted to us by the organizers and the Vietnamese seafood industry as a whole over the past nine consecutive years.

INTERVIEWER: Three reasons partners should not miss the Meksea booth at Vietfish 2026

1. The largest, highest-quality, and most comprehensive seafood supply hub in Vietnam.

2. An exporter with experience serving more than 90 markets across all Vietnamese seafood categories, capable of providing solutions for every stage of a customer’s business development.

3. A team of sales experts with deep market and product knowledge, always ready to listen and deliver in-depth consultancy to design the most effective and optimized purchasing solutions for customers.
